Customize PSP Video Thumbnails ManuallyIt takes about 3 minutes to handcraft a thumbnail for a green hand. And they are boring repetitive works to making several thumbnails. 10 video thumbnails may waste your half an hour. To generate thumbnails automatically, try PSP Falcon, only cost a few seconds. Generally, it takes four steps.
1. Find a image Your can search for a relative images from Internet, e.g., posters. Or take a snapshot just from your video.
1.1 Search
If you use Google Image Search, choose Wide aspect ratio in advanced search options may help.
1.2 Snapshot
Use snapshot from menu in you video player, e.g., Video/Snapshot in VLC.
An alternate way is taking a screen shot of player window. Alt+PrintScreen for Windows PC, or Command+Shift+4 for Mac OS X.
2. Resize and crop Crop and resize the image to 160px width by 120px height. A basic tool is MS Paint, this will take some time if you are not familiar with such image processing tools.
3. Save as .jpg Save the image that you resized to .jpg format with the same base name of your video file. For example, your video file name is Awesome.mp4 , you should save the image file name as Awesome.jpg .
4. Transfer to PSP Connect PSP to the computer, copy the image that you just saved, into the folder where your video file saves. In the most cases, the video file and the jpg thumbnail file are stayed together, in VIDEO folder of PSP/Memory Stick.
* .THM thumbnails files are used for very old PSP Firmware (1.x and 2.x). You can rename .THM to .jpg to let it show.
